The Calm Collective

Same word. Different mindset. What changed?

Why do we celebrate trial periods in business as wisdom, yet resist trials in life as suffering? If trials help us test, learn, and grow in the digital world, why do we see them as punishment in our spiritual walk?

Is our relationship with God rooted in reverence, or has it quietly become a transaction—an exchange of blessings for belief, provision for praise? If nothing was added to our lives, would God still be enough?

Why do we trust the process when money is involved, but struggle to trust it when faith is required? Is it possible that trials are not setbacks, but access points—opportunities to discover what we could never know without going through?

Can we truly grow without testing, without failing, without stepping into the unknown?

Can we “know” our way into new levels, or must we live, risk, and stumble our way there? And if every form of growth requires a trial, then what exactly are we resisting—the trial, or the transformation it carries?

Are trials working against you or for you?

  • Against me

  • I’m not sure yet

  • For me

  • Depends on how I see it
